Need to Get Rid of Squirrels?

These Cute little critters sometimes like to take up home in your home. They can bring their family with them invading your loft like an unwelcome visitor and cause structural damage of your attic.

Some of these advice might be useful.

Squirrel, Orange, Eating, Nature, MammalRelocation:

Try Placing a “Havaheart” trap in your loft where the squirrels seem to be alive. This may trap the animal and also keep it living. Most local hardware stores carry these and they have the best layout. Bait the trap preferably with peanut butter -irresistible to squirrels. Additionally, you may add sunflower seeds and nuts to the mix. Place trap in loft and check everyday. Once an animal has been trapped put cage and all in your vehicle, drive to some other environment and discharge the squirrel. Repeat this process for a week or two.

St Augustine Wildlife Control control officers will be pleased to send someone outside to grab the squirrel. It is totally free, but you may choose to create a little donation. Animal traps can be rented from some humane societies. Put this trap close to where the creature lives. Again, bait with peanut butter set on an apple slice.

Squirrel Fears:

Consider spraying fox urine in the hole. This may be bought from hunting supply shops. Smaller creatures like the squirrels are afraid of the creatures higher up on the food chain. This will probably allow them to leave promptly.

Try Wetting cloth with ammonia and spreading these round the general area that the creature is living in. A critters sense of smell is much more highly developed than ours and also the smell of ammonia drives them mad.

Moth Balls:

Use Moths balls, learn how they are getting in and patch up any holes. Moth balls are made from naphthalene flakes. Squirrel replant is made of exactly the same naphthalene flakes but the price is significantly higher.

Close Attic Entries

Squirrels Are out through the night, but return at night. Throughout the daytime look around your home for any loose boards or openings and hammer them down as squirrels can enter very small spaces. Purchase any mesh and seal off the opening into your attic, such as valves, toaster or any other kind. This is usually simpler if performed from the interior ensuring there are not any gaps. Once this is done they cannot reunite in.

Getting squirrels in your attic could be very pricey. Do not wait if all above approaches don’t work.
